Fresh seafood on the table and a perfectly baked pavlova for dessert. Now all that’s left is to wear your favourite linen dresses and dance through your home, ready to make lifelong memories with your loved ones. With our styling tricks, you’ll feel confident and won’t think twice about your outfits.
The silly season is here and has most of us totally flustered. (Big congrats if you’re not, and we wish we could be friends.) Some of us decided we wouldn’t be doing a big Christmas or presents this year, and now we’ve got deliveries arriving twice a day. Oops. Also, an intricate menu was planned, where we seem to have forgotten we’re not cooking for the whole country, and love isn’t measured in food.
Despite all the chaos, we’re here to make sure you’re looking fabulous with our edit of linen dresses and linen trousers, which will help hide all the insanity happening in the kitchen or at the shops.
These come holiday-approved but are so wearable and effortless, you’ll be making dinner plans just so you can have an excuse to wear them again.

Kimonos Dress in our wine colourway
During the holidays, we all have permission to unwind a little and pour ourselves a few cheeky drops of wine. What’s the best match for a robust glass of red? Of the edible variety, it could be a cheese board or a grass-fed steak (ad break, for those of us who are now feeling hungry and need to get a snack).
In fashion terms, we’d say that it’s our Kimonos Dress that’s exceptionally festive but also happens to be awash in one of the most trending colours of the last few seasons, giving it plenty of staying power and making it a chic option for the entire summer.
An earthy Bordeaux red isn’t afraid to voice its opinions or let out a cackling laugh. It’s also cosy and comforting, which has “host of the year” written all over it. We don’t know about you, but those are the most memorable gatherings, where things get a little messy, and everyone’s taking off their shoes or jumping in the pool before the appetisers.
The dress’s wide, dramatic sleeves are perfect for those who love to tell a story with their hands. The flapping will definitely add an element of theatrics to the table. While the incredibly airy fabric will keep hosts and cooks alike cool, even if guests arrive early.
The elegance of this linen maxi dress is that it can just as easily be worn barefoot, and be incredibly chic, might we add; you’ll look like someone who bakes their own sourdough bread. Or it can be elevated with a few thoughtful accessories. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of dress, depending on the character you feel like embracing.
Our wine colourway is quite unique, so we wanted to share some styling tips on how to accessorise our Kimonos Dress to hopefully leave you feeling very inspired.
Colours
-
For a neutral chic statement: whites and beiges are guaranteed winners.
-
Classic look: black or navy seamlessly pairs with a deep red, and shows you’re completely in control and a professional at fashion.
-
Fresh and effervescent: a millennial pink or baby blue, thoughtfully selected and used sparingly, will uplift the wine colourway and your mood.
-
For a moodier aesthetic: khaki and caramel brown are the way to go.
Jewellery
-
Metallics: rose gold, champagne tones and silver are the perfect match for a burgundy red, and as a bonus, they’re also very festive. It’s a combination that practically sings ‘Deck the halls’. Sorry if it’s now stuck in your head.
-
Gemstones: don’t be afraid to compete with the Christmas tree; it’s the perfect time of year for maximalism to come out to play. Emerald green or sapphire statement jewellery in the form of pendants or oversized earrings will add the perfect touch of sparkle, while still being very sophisticated.
-
Feathers: they knew how to party in the 1920s, and there’s something about feathers that brings the glamour. We’d try feather earrings or jewellery in neutral tones and match them with the shoes, so they’re not overpowering.
Shoes
-
To make a dazzling impression: gold or silver flats, strappy sandals and whatever else you fancy.
-
For a refined look: nude stilettos, these are the definition of quiet luxury and seamlessly pair with our wine colourway.
-
For a never-fail option: black always delivers in the style department. You can choose ballerinas, heels or those leather thongs that everyone on Instagram is wearing.

-
Leave the cookies on the tray to cool down, and then prepare them in gift bags for your loved ones.

Serpente Dress in our cocoa colourway
Show up to your next Xmas party wearing our Serpente Cocoa Dress and be prepared to answer question after question of “where did you get that?”. Do you want to share all your secrets?
Is it scientifically proven that if you wear it, you’ll cook the perfect Christmas ham? No, but it’s also not, not proven. What is guaranteed is that you’ll happily take countless photos of this look, as this dress is such a statement that you’ll want to remember how amazing you looked forever.
How to style this linen wrap dress? Barely-there flats or sandals are always an effortlessly stylish option, especially if you want to exude boho vibes. You could also try tying a printed silk scarf around your wrist to give the outfit extra holiday pizzazz. Only the most sophisticated of the fashion crowd are rocking their silk scarves in inventive ways, and you should be one of them.
Gold jewellery is your best friend here as well, and the sleeveless design is begging for a stack of gold bracelets. They’ll deliver the holiday glitz and help give your loved ones some gift ideas for next year (it’s best to prepare them early; they’ll need to start saving!).

Axel Tie Top (Minhwa limited-edition print) and Hanne Trousers (in our mocha-taupe colourway)
Holiday dressing doesn’t have to just mean red, white and black. Perfect for an evening soirée, our Axel Tie Top is a sophisticated match for our Hanne Trousers. The pants come in our mocha-taupe colourway that’s so deliciously frothy, it’ll take you back to the coffee dates after Pilates class with your girlfriends.
There’s just something about tucking in linen tops that feels fancy, doesn’t it? Highly recommended for those who love to look polished, intimidatingly so. This outfit is so put-together and contemporary, everyone knows you’ve already got your next 5 years planned out.
The crisp tailoring and high-waist of our linen pants creates an elegant silhouette on your body, and pairing them with nude shoes will only elongate that silhouette even further. You could also try matching with a kitten heel to still give yourself some height while also prioritising comfort. Open-toe leather mules are also a must for surviving the Aussie summer.
For those who love a flat, we’d recommend going for blush, gentle tones and the square-toe ballet flats that are super modern. Especially good if you want the Gen-Zs in your life to think you’re cool. Finish off with a sleek clutch or handbag in almost any shade, and in a shiny finish to get you in the holiday spirit.

Conclusion: The Linen Dresses You Need This Holiday Season
We hope we’ve inspired you to add linen pieces to your holiday line-up this year. There’s so much styling help for those celebrating Christmas during the winter, they can choose from velvet, stockings, knee-high boots and gorgeous coats.
And we completely understand the appeal. Yes, there might be snow, but there is also something truly magical about not being in complete darkness by 4 pm (like our Northern Hemisphere pals).
That’s why we’re sharing our tips for thriving during the Aussie holiday season with linen dresses that you’ll be wearing all year long:
-
Sleeveless or off-the-shoulder styles: a 40°C day. Do we need to say more?
-
Natural fabrics: never underestimate the cooling power of natural textiles. Of course, we’ll rave about the breathability and thermo-regulating characteristics of linen, but you can also wear cotton if you must.
-
Contemporary florals & prints: to make your festive ensembles feel special, enlist the help of beautiful prints. Even just one statement piece can lift the whole outfit.
-
Refined jewellery: a tinge of sparkle here and there is sometimes all a look needs to make it party-ready. Plus, these can then be worn all year-round for special occasions or whenever you need a confidence boost.
-
Festive colours: you don’t need to buy yourself a whole new wardrobe, although we’d never want to stifle your shopping ambitions. An impeccable white linen top or one in cream or red that is styled with gold accessories nails the holiday dress code.
